Russian Federation confirms North Korean leader Kim Jong Un will visit Moscow

US National Security Adviser John Bolton insisted Sunday that last week's nuclear summit with North Korea, which abruptly ended with President Donald Trump walking away without reaching an agreement, was not a failure.

President Donald Trump shakes hands with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in Hanoi. In a press conference that followed, Trump said he was forced to call off the signing of an agreement due to North Korea's demands for all sanctions to be lifted. He also called the president a liar, racist and conman.

The President took to Twitter to lambaste the party and Thursday's congressional hearing of Michael Cohen, which consisted mostly of Democrats asking questions pertaining to Trump and Republicans questioning the lawyer's credibility.

"He's not desperate for a deal - not with North Korea, not with anybody if it's contrary to American national interests", Bolton told Fox News Sunday. While denouncing the activity as "despicable and barbaric", President Trump has not held the leaders directly accountable because, as Bolton notes, the USA has "a hard line to walk to negotiate". Rep. Tom Malinowski (D-N.J.) announced Monday that he would introduce a resolution to Congress that will hold North Korea and Kim Jon Un responsible for Warmbier's death. "I think the obligation of the president of the United States is to defend and advance American national security interests".

Bolton said Kim was willing to make "a very limited concession" to dismantle its Yongbyon nuclear weapons complex in exchange for "substantial" sanctions relief.

Suh Hoon, left, director of the National Intelligence Service, and Noh Young-min, right, the presidential chief of staff, talk in whispers on Monday before a plenary session of the National Security Office at the Blue House begins.

Moon lauded both sides for having talked about the complete demolition of North's Yongbyon nuclear facility under the observation of American experts, saying the scrapping of Yongbyon would mark an "irreversible" step in North Korean denuclearization.

Moon said Seoul will continue to push ahead with inter-Korean engagement within the boundaries of USA -led global sanctions against the North. Moon has prioritized stabilizing bilateral relations with the North amid the larger nuclear negotiations between Washington and Pyongyang, saying inter-Korean reconciliation will drive nuclear progress.

In an appearance on CBS News' "Face the Nation", Bolton said there is "no expiration date" for talks on denuclearization.

"I didn't think this went well for the president at all, more importantly, for US national security", Rogers said.

House Democrats arranged for Cohen to testify before an oversight committee.

"This the result of a president who is not prepared for these kind of negotiations, a staff that is not well-prepared and that is essentially flying by the seat of its trousers", Schiff said on Face the Nation.

In his opening remarks, Moon said it was sad that the second summit failed to bear fruit in Hanoi, but also stressed that it was an opportunity to see some "very significant achievements" made so far in North-U.S. discussions.

"That was my position long before I became president", Trump tweeted Sunday while adding "reducing tensions with North Korea at this time is a good thing". -South Korea drills commonly known as Key Resolve and Foal Eagle.

The maneuvers have been a perennial target of North Korean fury - condemned by Pyongyang as provocative rehearsals for war.
