R. Kelly’s girlfriends tearfully defend singer, deny reports of brainwashing and abuse

R. Kelly cries and denies abuse allegations in explosive Gayle King interview

The rapper went on CBS This Morning to deny the allegations where R. Kelly also reacted to Lady Gaga pulling their duet, "Do What U Want".

It shouldn't come as much of surprise, but R. Kelly's impassioned pleas to reconnect with his children were likely spoken in vain. "But without her cooperation, the investigation is at a standstill", Craig told The News.

Kelly - who last month pleaded not guilty to 10 counts of aggravated criminal sex abuse - increasingly lost control over his emotions during an interview this week with Gayle King. Drea was among multiple women who alleged sexual misconduct against the singer in the recent Lifetime docuseries "Surviving R. Kelly". "The incident allegedly occurred in the City of Detroit when the victim was 13 years old".

Friday's special also will include a team of CBS News journalists who will explore the allegations of abuse against Kelly, his denials and more.

Last month, his attorney Steve Greenberg cited "mismanagement", "hangers-on" and "bad deals" as some of the reasons Kelly "really doesn't have any money", CNN reported.

Both Savage and Clary are the singer's live-in girlfriends, and they admitted to having a three-way relationship with him.

Claiming that "you guys don't know the truth", a distressed Azriel Clary told Gayle King "You guys believe in some f***king façade that our parents are saying".

The women's families - who denied that allegation - painted a different perspective of the situation, with both describing R. Kelly as a liar and insisting they'd never asked for or got payments from him, according to CBS. "I'm fighting for my f-king life!" Clary went on to explain, "We both have our individual relationships with him, and we all are family together". At one point she refused to answer personal questions despite agreeing to do the interview in the first place. "I would never share with no one what I do in or outside of the bedroom. If I stood up even to comfort him, that could have been his invitation to say 'This is over.' So, I didn't interrupt his anger and let him have that".

He insisted people were trying to ruin his 30-year career, but then said his fight was "not about music".

Savage concurred with Clary, accusing her parents of extortion. Their parents say they are brainwashed. She said during a visit to his Atlanta home, they engaged in sex and she says that's when she contracted the incurable disease. Surprisingly, TMZ is reporting that despite the turmoil, the door is still open for reconciliation, although I gather, the conversation only starts once R Kelly meets those child support requirements.

Michael Avenatti, who represents Alice and Angelo Clary, Azriel's parents, responded in a tweeted statement Wednesday.
