For current students and graduates, USC said in a statement Wednesday that it will conduct a case-by-case review for anyone that may be connected to the scheme alleged by the government. USC will "make informed, appropriate decisions once those reviews have been completed".

He told the magazine he and his wife were "in the thick of college application time" with Sofia, and that the process was "stressful".

The largest college admissions fraud scam unearthed in United States history was run out of a small college preparation company in Newport Beach, California, that relied on bribes, phoney test takers and even doctored photos depicting non-athletic applicants as elite competitors to land college slots for the offspring of rich parents, prosecutors said.

On Tuesday, Desperate Housewives star Felicity Huffman was arrested in the early morning hours by Federal Bureau of Investigation agents with their guns drawn for her role in a bribery scheme to get her older daughter into college.

One day after news broke of her alleged involvement in a college cheating scandal, actress Lori Loughlin turned herself in at a courthouse in Los Angeles.

These parents are a catalog of wealth and privilege.

No students have been charged, with authorities saying that in many cases the teenagers were unaware of what was going on.

"For every student admitted through fraud, an honest, genuinely talented student was rejected".

Some spent between $200,000 and $6.5 million to guarantee admissions for their children, FBI Special Agent Joseph Bonavolonta said. "Some pretended an injury and some played and then quit", he said.

Elizabeth Venturini, founder of College Career Results, said, "On the admissions papers, it's marked off whether the parents have some type of relationship with the school".

'There can be no separate college admission for wealthy, and I will add there will not be a separate criminal justice system either'.

"I have a side-door to get them in by helping fund their endowments", Lockwood said that Singer told him. The parents bribed college coaches and other insiders to get their children into selective schools, authorities said.

For example, Singer and his co-conspirators used photo-editing technology to superimpose the face of a patron's student onto stock photos of athletes, prosecutors said. Parents made their payments to a sham charity that Singer ran, prosecutors said, which also allowed them to make a fraudulent tax write-off.

Actress Felicity Huffman, 56, was arrested at gunpoint at her home on Tuesday.

Huffman's older daughter took the test in December 2017 and received a score of 1420.

A lawyer for Meredith, 51, who was Yale's most successful soccer coach before his resignation in November 2018, did not return a call for comment.

The Justice Department has published the full list of those who have been indicted on charges ranging from conspiracy to commit racketeering to mail fraud and obstruction of justice.
