Some teams expect Jackson to be released by Tampa Bay.

The Eagles agreed to trade for Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver DeSean Jackson on Monday, according to NFL Media's Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo.

Reports indicate the Bucs will get back a 2019 6th round pick and the Eagles will get the Bucs' 2019 7th round pick in the deal.

Jackson was owed $10 million - none guaranteed - in the final year of a three-year contract he signed with the Bucs before the 2017 season.

The 32-year-old Jackson was dumped by the Eagles after posting what still stand as career highs in receptions (82), yards (1,332) and TD catches (nine) in the 2013 season.

The trade can not be made official until 4 p.m. Wednesday.

Now, with free agency approaching, it seems like the team is back to moving on from Jackson.

But it now appears that Jackson is set to return to the city where he spent the first six years of his National Football League career.

Jackson will receive a three-year contract worth $30 million, ESPN's Adam Schefter clarified, citing a source.

The Jags moved on from Jackson to save $11 million in cap space after drafting his successor in Taven Bryan during last April's draft. He averaged 18.9 yards per catch last season, despite the turmoil at the quarterback position in Tampa Bay last season. Following the exchange, Jackson did not play in the Buccaneers' next three games.
