Netflix Announces ‘Stranger Things’ Season 3 Premiere Date (Watch)

This is definitely a Stranger Things poster!

It's clear that the kids will be living life in 1985 once Season Three drops, but what kind of world will they be living in?

Netflix took advantage of the New Year's Eve celebration to brilliantly announce the release date for the third season of the critically acclaimed horror TV series Stranger Things.

Though specifics of the third season of "Stranger Things" have been kept under wraps, Netflix's Cindy Holland told Deadline in July 2018 that fans can expect "more special effects" when the series returns this summer. Then, as the countdown gets closer to midnight, the screen starts to turn upside down!

In the poster, the show's stars are watching 4th of July fireworks explode in 1985, leading us to believe that the series won't just be released over Independence Day, but also be set around it.

Netflix posted a new Stranger Things Season 3 trailer on YouTube and it's a blast from the past.

Season 3 of the worldwide sci-fi thriller hit is making its Netflix debut on July 4, 2019. "But I can only promise you that season 3 eventually goes places that are darker, and unquestionably more action-packed, than we've ever gone before", Levy said in a previous interview.

The makers of Stranger Things know we're hopelessly obsessed, and they do an unusually brilliant job of stoking the fires of our interest just the right amount.
