IPhone XI first pictures: are Apple designers on the wrong track?

Similar could be the case this year as well. Thus the "camera bump" was created and has remained on iPhone models ever since. There's very little information to corroborate the design, but another big name in smartphone leaks has weighed-in to say it is accurate.

We're a barely a week into 2019 and rumors surrounding Apple's next-gen iPhone lineup are already starting to trickle in. The first picture of the alleged iPhone XI reveals a great news for the iPhone lovers. Things will start to look interesting from here, and also the fact that the company's CEO has announced that Apple has lowered its guidance by up to $9 billion.

It's as if they took the Huawei Mate 20 Pro's camera module and then shifted some sensors around so that it looks different. The three rear cameras are positioned in a squircle manner in the top left corner of the back cover. The flash LED and a microphone hole sandwich the third vertex of the triangle. Up there is a LED flash and a microphone on the bottom.

The video was released in conjunction with the publication Digit, which includes a handful of predictions for the upcoming iPhone.

More details about the iPhone XI are not known yet. However, how the camera is setup on the device can be questionable. With major brands like Apple exploring this area of 3D sensors, and Sony boosting its interest here, we won't be surprised to see plenty of 3D mapping hardware and software in 2019. There's no revelation of the front panel of the iPhone XI but we expect Apple to shift from the traditional wide notch to a waterdrop notch, maybe?

As it did in 2018, Apple later this year is expected to introduce three new iPhone models, with all essentially being revamps of the iPhone XR, iPhone XS, and iPhone XS Max.
