Investigate The Fake Sexual Assault Plot Aimed At Discrediting Me

FBI Investigating Claim GOP Operative Offered Woman $20K to Falsely Accuse Mueller of Sexual Assault: Report

The Federal Bureau of Investigation is probing an alleged scheme to pay women to accuse Russian Federation collusion probe chief Robert Mueller of sexual harassment in a bid to discredit him, his office said Tuesday.

Special Counsel Robert Mueller's office has asked the Federal Bureau of Investigation to probe an alleged attempt to smear Mueller with fabricated claims of sexual harassment.

Taub said the email struck her as weird and suspicious, and she immediately forwarded it to the special counsel's office.

In a rare public statement, Mueller spokesman Peter Carr said Tuesday "when we learned last week of the allegations that women were offered money to make false claims about the special counsel, we immediacy referred the matter to the FBI for investigation".

Burkman, who runs a right-wing podcast, has posted a video saying a woman will unveil "a very bad sexual assault" accusation against Mueller.

Burkman has a long history of promoting conspiracy theories, like claiming government agents killed Democratic National Committee staffer Seth Rich.

The Special Counsel was appointed to investigate Russia's attempts to influence the election that made Donald Trump President.

Longtime LGBTQ Nation readers will remember Jack Burkman from his 2014 claim that he was working on legislation to ban gay men from the NFL.

Carr confirmed that a woman who had worked decades ago with Mueller at a law firm says she was contacted by a man who wanted her to make the claim.

But the law firm she mentioned told U.S. media outlets they have no record of anyone under her name ever working there.

The Mueller inquiry has yet to produce its final report.

She said the man, whom she identified as Bill Christensen and said had a British accent, contacted her a second time and offered her more than $50,000 to "make accusations of sexual misconduct and workplace harassment against Robert Mueller".

A number of media reports have checked a range of other "employees" and found them to be photos of other models or even priests - none of who actually could work at Surefire.

Jack Burkman and Jacob Wohl, who both were hyping the allegations earlier this week, did an interview with the far-right website Gateway Pundit Wednesday in which they claimed that their "accuser", after arriving in D.C., boarded a flight to another location as she feared for her life.

Surefire's domain records list Wohl's email address and a phone number provided by a recording when calling the number listed on Surefire's website belongs to Wohl's mother. Taub told the Atlantic that said she never had any encounters with Mueller, though she sometimes comments on his probe on CNN.

Despite the incriminating links, Jacob Wohl has denied all knowledge of involvement - tweeting that the mainstream media were spinning "FAKE NEWS" to "protect the Mueller witch hunt".

What have Wohl and Burkman said?

. The 20-year-old pro-Trump activist stopped responding following the Surefire Intelligence revelations.
