Camera Comparison: iPhone Xs vs Pixel 3

Google Rolls Out Night Sight Tech to Improve Quality of Low-Light Photos

Here's the best Black Friday deals on Google Home Hub, Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL, Chromecast and 4K Ultra dongles.

Google has started rolling out Assistant's Call Screen feature to the Google Pixel 2 and 2 XL.

Compared to standard photos, Night Sight shots have significantly better exposure but without the typical high ISO noise that we would normally expect.

Here are a handful of additional Night Sight comparisons.

Google has confirmed to bring the Call Screen feature even to the first generation Pixel and Pixel XL later this month. Night Mode requires a light source to properly take advantage of its features, meaning that shooting in complete darkness won't yield good results.

Google is rolling out the update that includes Night Sight to Pixel phones right now.

On Cyber Monday the Daydream View will be $60 off, a My Case for your Pixel will be $20 less expensive, and in the event that you purchase two Google Home Max speakers, you can spare $150.

Since Night Sight merges multiple frames, it doesn't work well if the scene you're trying to capture contains obvious movement. You'll need to keep your hands steady too before and after the shutter is pressed. Now, you have to select "Night" option. Check out the sample shots on Google's blog for some great examples of why. But with Night Sight, the Pixel camera is able to intelligently make those dark, grainy, and crappy photos less dark, grainy, and crappy. No doubt, Pixel 3 beats the iPhone XS in night photography (or at least Google claims it does). And to prove it, I took all the best smartphone cameras out for a side-by-side nighttime shootout. The video actually uses the previously available pre-release version of the software - although the results are just as crazily impressive.
