Happy birthday Google! Search engine celebrates 20th anniversary with cute doodle

Google,Google Search,Google 20 years

American Corporation Google has announced a change in the search engine. It has an added feature called "Aspirations" that will search the training courses and internships related to your field for you.

Also Google will add the search to the selected videos related to the topic.

Combined with Google's powerful PageRank system of indexing search results, the company grew over the years and went public in 2004, offering investors to buy its shares.

Thursday's Google Doodle is a video that walks down the memory lane exploring popular searches across the world in the last two decades. These "evergreen" pages and videos should still be relevant to you, based on Google's AI-powered algorithms.

Google said the stories can show in search, Google Images and Discover features.

The Images overhaul includes carousels of online video clip highlights displayed with mobile search query results.

First there's the new Activity Card, which appears as a thin strip above your results.

Google is also introducing something called "Collections".

Instead of putting a webpage in a bookmark, or a folder of bookmarks, you assign a search card to a Collection of given topics. "This format lets you easily tap to the articles for more information and provides a new way to discover content from the web".

"When you come to Google Images for help on a task, the page where an image lives is important".

Similar to the activity card, the Google "feed" is a feature being revamped which is basically a stream of information cards showing users' "interests" based on their other activities with other Google apps.

"Every change to Search is evaluated by experimentation and by raters using these guidelines". The Discover feed will roll out to the Google homepage for all mobile users.

The Discover feed will remember preferences for the language you like different types of content to be in. The upcoming Featured Videos function automatically generates preview clips that show the most relevant sections. You can follow any topic that looks interesting. On the balloons, the search giant has also mentioned the number 20 which indicates the 20 years of completion. There will be tags that show products, and other kinds of images, like stock images and do-it-yourself tutorials, so you'll be able find the sort of thing you're looking for faster. By that we mean that along with keeping you updated about what a pile of mess the Earth is becoming (capitalism is destroying the nature and whatnot), it will delve in deeper to dig out updates on movies and fashion (if that's what you're into), new blog posts from the blogs you are following etc. We haven't been fans of it since that major change, but this week, Google is changing it yet again with a new name, new features, and a new look. This makes it easy to revisit past searches and the websites you visited along the way.
