Get ready Apple fans! Here’s the date for the next iPhone event

New iPhone X 2018

The event itself will take place at Apple Park's Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino, California. 9to5Mac reports exclusively that we'll be introduced to the new 5.8-inch and 6.5-inch OLED iPhones which will be branded as the iPhone XS.

Apple is widely expected to unveil a trio of new iPhones that adopt most of the features and design elements of last year's iPhone X. Although a gold iPhone X was rumored to be launching previous year, it never materialized.

The iPhone XS will reportedly come in a new, gold colour scheme in addition to the standard black and grey designs.

It has been suggested the hardware could feature an LCD panel instead of the OLED now present in the iPhone X. The folks at 9to5mac claim to have an exclusive image of the purported iPhone XS and it will come in two sizes. Till then, we can only wait and see what more news comes up about the products which are yet to be launched in the upcoming event in September.

More news: US, Mexico reach new trade agreement

Moving on to the Apple Watch, rumors of a new rounded watch face appear to have been wide of the mark if the leaked image is anything to go by. Other possible new releases at the event, per BI: new models of the Apple Watch, iPad Pro, and AirPods. So, we can expect the company to launch its next smartwatch - Apple Watch 4 on September 12.

Apple also plans an upgrade to the current iPhone X with a 5.8-inch OLED screen, which is internally dubbed D32, the people said. Apparently, these two models are called the iPhone XS. As far as connectivity concerned, Apple could launch it with LTE and WiFi options. The iPhone X was launched for $1000, but the successor to it, aka the iPhone XS, is expected to come with a price of around $800, which is nearly $200 less.

The screens are far more hard to produce than OLED displays, and the company nearly killed the project a year or so ago, the people say.

Alongside new iPhones and Apple Watches, Apple is rumored to announce two new iPad Pro models.
