South Pasadena Shooting Disabled Woman Draws Gun on Officers and was Killed A welfare check by the South Pasadena Police Department Thursday turned fatal when the distraught and disabled woman officers were checking on allegedly pulled out a ???BB-type

Former "ER" actress Vanessa Marquez was reportedly shot and killed by police officers conducting a welfare check on her at her Southern California home Thursday. She later "became uncooperative, and appeared to be unable to care for herself", according to the police report, which also noted that she may have had mental health issues.

According to the report, Marquez was shot once in the torso and treated briefly at the scene before being rushed to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Clooney, who starred as Doug Ross on the series for five seasons, denied having any influence on casting the show or on Marquez's career.

When South Pasadena police arrived around noon, Mendoza said Marquez "was undergoing some medical problems, some seizures". "I had no idea Vanessa was blacklisted", Clooney told TheWrap. She alleged she was racially and sexually harassed on the set.

The Sheriff's Homicide Bureau has launched an investigation into the officer-involved shooting. Marquez then armed herself with a gun and pointed it at officers, after which she was shot by officers, police said.

She was best known for playing Wendy Goldman on "ER" from 1994 to 1997. I was an actor and only an actor.

Lt Mendoza said that the woman's gun that was seized from the house turned out to be a replica of a semi-automatic handgun. I did, " she wrote.

"If she was told I was involved in any decision about her career then she was lied to", he continued. Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family at this hard time.

Marquez's role in the 1988 drama "Stand and Deliver" was her first big break in acting. She started another account where she began attacking Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey. Marquez appeared in 27 episodes.

Marquez was a member of the cinephile group Turner Classic Movies Party, which paid tribute to her in a tweet.

She was also a subject in the second episode of Intervention in 2005, in which she admitted she was near bankruptcy and was addicted to shopping. According to her IMDb page, Marquez's acting career slowed greatly in the 2000s.
