Pakistan's batsman Fakhar Zaman continues to break records

Pakistan captain Sarfraz turns down offer from bookmakers in Dubai

On another record setting day in Bulawayo for the visitors, Fakhar Zaman became the fastest player in history to reach 1 000 career runs in one-day global cricket as Pakistan amassed 364/4.

Fakhar achieved the record in the fifth and final ODI match against Zimbabwe at Bulawayo, when he scored 20 runs to attain the feat. He erased records of Viv Richards, Kevin Pietersen, Quinton de Kock, Babar Azam and Jonathan Trott to become the fastest to a thousand career runs in ODIs.

In the last match, he also became the quickest batsman to get to 1000 ODI runs.

The present-day white ball giants in Hashim Amla, Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan are far behind on the list as each of them took 24 innings to cross the 1000-run mark.

Earlier, the Green Shirts won T20 tri-series after beating Australia and the hosts Zimbabwe.

The left-handed Fakhar was dismissed for 85 after Pakistan elected to bat first and in the process created a new world record for the most runs scored between two dismissals in the one-day format.

Fakhar Zaman raises his bat after becoming the first Pakistan batsman to make a double century in ODI.

The opening duo added 704 runs as batting partners in five innings of the series, which is the most by any batting partner in a bilateral series.

The innings also propelled Pakistan to their highest ever ODI total of 399/1, according report from the International Cricket Council (ICC) website.

Imam-ul-Haq brings up his third of the series! The youngster has now managed to convert all his half-centuries into tons. Azam hit nine fours and two sixes and completed his eighth ODI century.

Hamilton Masakadza and Tinashe Kamunhukamwe shared a 66-run opening stand, Zimbabwe's best of the series.

This win was Pakistan's second-biggest ODI win behind the 255-run win over Ireland in 2015. But Prince Masvaure and Ryan Murray adopted a similar approach as they were content on batting out the overs, finding the odd boundary whenever a loose delivery was bowled.
