Trump wants 'these people' who 'invade our Country' sent right back

Sierralupe

President Donald Trump asserted Sunday that immigrants who crossed into the United States illegally should be sent back immediately without due process or an appearance before a judge, an escalation of his attacks on the judicial system.

We can not allow all of these people to invade our Country.

"I do think that unless we can actually exercise something other than just approving the president's executive calendar, his nominees, judges, that we have no reason to be there", Flake said Sunday morning.

The legislation has taken on new urgency as the executive order appears to be temporary and is expected to face legal challenges in connection with the Flores agreement, a landmark 21-year-old court settlement under which immigrant minors can be detained no longer than 20 days. Most children come without parents.

"Immigration must be based on merit - we need people who will help to Make America Great Again", he concluded.

It was hardly the first time the president has spoken in racially fraught terms about immigrants, but it underscored his anger about unchecked immigration - the animating issue of his campaign and his tenure so far - and his frustration that he has not been able to do more to seal the nation's borders.

Besides providing $23.4 billion for border security-including technology, physical barriers and a wall separating parts of the US from Mexico-the compromise bill would also provide a legal status for the young immigrants brought to the country illegally as minors and living in the USA on June 15, 2007, and open up a pathway to citizenship.

Trump has made a crackdown on immigration a key element of his administration.

Trump also continued to blame Democrats in the Republican-controlled Congress, saying House Republicans could "easily pass" a strong border security bill, but it would still have to pass the Senate "and for that we need 10 Democrat votes, and all they do is RESIST".

Roughly 2,300 children were separated from their families in recent weeks by US Border Control. Leonard Lance, R-7th Dist., and Brendan Boyle, D-Pa., to propose legislation requiring the administration to reunite the families. "This is an issue about what is right and what is wrong", Castro said.

Massive public outcry has grown over children being separated from their parents attempting to cross into the USA illegally.

Sen. Jeff Flake, R-Ariz., a frequent Trump critic, said the problem was larger than a partisan fight. Images of toddlers crying behind chain-link fences, and reports of federal agents taking infants and young children to distant states, forced a rare retreat from the White House.
