Kate Middleton and Prince William confirm Prince Louis' Christening date

Kate middleton news

Prince Louis' christening date has been confirmed by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Kensington Palace said today.

The official statement was made via the Kensington Palace Twitter account, where they announced the ceremony will happen on 9th July at The Chapel Royal, St James's Palace, London.

The Prince was born Louis Arthur Charles at 11.01am on 23 April at St Mary's Hospital in Paddington weighing 8lbs 7oz.

As of Wednesday, we know what's next up on the royal schedule that'll draw the family together once again: Prince Louis's christening.

Newlyweds Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will also make an appearance.

Born on April 23, His Royal Highness Prince Louis of Cambridge is fifth in line to the throne, and the sixth great-grandchild of Queen Elizabeth. Their sister, Charlotte, had her christening at St Mary Magdalene Church at the Queen's Sandringham estate in Norfolk.

On Saturday, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were spotted at Celia McCorquodale and George Woodhouse's nuptials.

Princess Charlotte's (pictured) Christening took place at St. Mary Magdalene Church, Sandringham.

Prince Louis has a big day on the horizon! Her husband Nick Pettman, who works in the City, will also be at the christening, as will the spouses of all the godparents.

While the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were present in the celebration, Prince William and Kate Middleton didn't attend the event.

"We'll no doubt have the official christening photos, as we did with Prince George and Princess Charlotte", he continued.

'Prince Louis will be christened by The Archbishop of Canterbury, the Most Reverend Justin Welby'. The Chapel Royal has a special tie to Prince William and his family, as it's where his late mother's coffin was held for a week before her funeral, and where Kate Middleton received communion just prior to her own royal wedding.
