Donald Trump Again Demands Apology From Disney's Bob Iger

Entertainment

In a now deleted tweet, Barr claimed, "I begged Ben Sherwood at ABC 2 let me apologize & make amends", referencing the Disney/ABC Television Group President.

The president's latest missive came a day after he first criticized Iger - the CEO of Disney, ABC's parent company - for apologizing to Valerie Jarrett over a racist tweet from Roseanne Barr, but not apologizing to him.

Long before she was writing racist and offensive things on Twitter, Roseanne Barr was allegedly berating and mistreating staffers on the set of her eponymous sitcom, once forcing an underling to grill six burgers - all for her - under a broiling sun, a former TV exec says in a report.

When asked if he might get his own show, he said, "You've heard more than I have".

Earlier this week, Sherwood sent out an email to ABC staff sympathizing with those who "poured their hearts and lives into the show" and would now be out of work.

He also added that he's been "baffled" by Barr's continued affiliation with Donald Trump, who called to congratulate her on Roseanne's massive ratings when it premiered.

Like many good husbands, John Goodman knows when not to air his wife's dirty laundry in public.

She also urged her critics to be fair, adding: "Please don't compare me2 other people who have said disgusting things".

ABC network canceled the popular comedy "Roseanne" after star Roseanne Barr compared a former Obama administration official to an ape in remarks on Twitter. She got bronchitis, she was overworked, I think she was stressing the f-k out. He scoffed & said: 'what u have done is egregious, and unforgivable.' I begged 4 my crews jobs. I am truly sorry for making a bad joke about her politics and her looks. Trump doesn't get an apology when people say offensive things about him because a country where the media is only allowed to say good things about the leader is not a democracy.

Barr ended her series of tweets by promising that she will be away from Twitter "for a while".

Pulled off air over a racist tweet, USA sitcom star Roseanne Barr has blamed her outburst on a sleeping pill - prompting a swift retort on Wednesday from pharma giant Sanofi which stated, deadpan, that its drugs do not cause racism. That didn't sit well with a lot of Roseanne fans, especially one of her biggest, most outspoken and (admittedly) most powerful fans - Donald J. Trump.
