Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Officially Confirmed, Ubisoft Shares First Gameplay Snippet

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey leaks: is this the sequel to Origins?

KitGuru Says: I really enjoyed Assassin's Creed Origins, so I already have high hopes for Odyssey.

The most recent entry in the franchise was Assassin's Creed Origins, released a year ago, which dialed the events of the game all the way back to Egypt during the Ptolemaic period (49-47 BC). We can also look forward to learning about the big fall update Bungie has planned for Destiny 2 and finding out what game Remedy has been working on since shipping Quantum Break in 2016. After a series of progressively less-interesting yearly instalments that did little to push the series forward, Origins finally gave the game the full-on reboot it deserved. Here's when all the shows featuring PC games will be streaming live. On the packaging you could clearly read "Assassin's Creed: Odyssey". According to Kotaku, pictures of Greek warrior helmet keychains for Assassin's Creed Odyssey hit the web this week, causing gamers to speculate on both the title and the location of the game. Ubisoft hasn't yet commented on the Odyssey reports, but given Schreier's credibility and the franchise's history of leaks, it's likely that these latest rumblings will pan out. The keyring in question seemed to confirm the Greek setting for the game, which had been part of rumours dating back to January. Shortly after the gaming community began sharing their opinions on the game, Ubisoft took to social media to announce Assassin's Creed Odyssey alongside a very brief teaser trailer. There's word that he might appear in the story still, but that players will have the choice between two protagonists - a male and female one.

The sources also said that Assassin's Creed: Odyssey would be released before 31 March 2019.
