Drake blackface photo used by Pusha T to promote new track

As a song you'd listen to for pleasure, "Duppy Freestyle" is a little more fun, which underscores the reason why Drake usually comes on top: At the end of the day, he makes music that's a little more fun.

While talks of Pusha T being bodied by the Toronto-bred rapper circled the internet, it seemed King Push just needed a few days to regroup - and research - before dropping his own response diss track.

The man in the shocking image that Pusha T claimed to be Drake could be seen with painted blackface. Later, the beef went full blown in the first indirect Drizzy diss track "Don't Fuck With Me", in 2011. The timeline is alive and buzzing.

After Drake dissed Pusha T's producer Kanye West, Pusha T took aim at Drake's producer Noah Shebib.

"Sophie knows better, ask your baby mother, cleaned her up for IG but the stench is on her", Pusha raps, naming the alleged mother of his kid.

Drake: You do know what you're doing you think you're going to get money.

Pusha T also fuelled rumours that Drake has a secret child with an artist and former adult film actress. In "The Story Of Adidon", Pusha-T made light of 40 looking sick and questioned how much longer the OVO executive will live.

The Story of Adidon uses the beat from Jay-Z's song The Story of OJ - which features cartoon images referencing minstrel shows and blackface in its video. That's what resonates the most with me: He doesn't even sound that mad about what he's saying.

It was first rumored that Drake impregnated porn star Sophie Brussaux back in 2017. They said, "She has admitted to having multiple relationships". Twenty years ago, this level of surgical anger probably would've invited real life violence; it may still, even as Drake's career has typically avoided that type of escalation.
